Hello! Remember what I was telling you last week about starting a haircare journey? Well, I’ve decided to do the same with my skin, and start a steady skincare journey. There’s so many info out there that I got a little overwhelmed, and so many products as well from affordable to very pricey and luxurious. I did some digging, and was on the look out for something that had the basis covered and for a good price. That’s how I opted for Fenty Skin’s Start’r set.

Eh bien j’ai maintenant décidé de faire de même pour mon visage et d’entamer une routine visage plus sérieuse et régulière. Il y a tellement d’informations là-dessus que je me suis un peu perdue, et tellement de produits allant d’abordables à très chers que j’ai eu du mal à m’y retrouver. J’ai fais un peu de recherche sur Internet et en boutiques pour trouver des produits qui m’aideraient à avoir une bonne base, à un bon prix. C’est comme ça que je suis tombée sur le Start’r set de Fenty Skin.

32.40€! That’s how much I paid for the Start’r set, which was originately 36€ on Sephora’s website. Never underestimate/neglect the power of loyalty cards and promo codes. Most of the times my sisters will give my name when purchasing something at Sephora, which made me get a Sephora Black card faster. Therefore it is mostly our card than mine, the perks of having siblings.
So you might guess how happy I was to be able to find a set that had the basic products that I wanted for this price. I also did my research on the ingredients, read and watch reviews and it made me want to buy it even more. Yes, I’m not going to lie, seeing that it was from Rihanna’s brand was already off to a good start.

La plupart du temps mes sœurs utilisent ma carte aussi lorsqu’elles font des achats à Sephora ce qui fait que j’ai eu la carte Sephora Black plus rapidement. On aime les avantages d’avoir des frères et sœurs. Au final c’est plus une carte de fidélité familiale !
Donc je vous laisse imaginer à quel point j’étais contente de trouver un coffret avec les basiques de la routine visage, à un bon prix. Et Fenty Skin en plus ! J’ai bien sûr fais des recherches sur la composition, les avis, les vidéos tests, et ça m’a conforté dans mon choix. Aussi on ne va pas se mentir, le fait que ce soit la marque de Rihanna, on partait déjà bien.

So far, I’ve been using this for two weeks now and really like the way they are all so moisturising. My skin is normal to dry, and has mostly been on the very dry side with winter season. However, the products work well on my skin, the cleanser is not stripping at all. I did a little test after cleansing my face and waited a few minutes to see if my skin would feel dry, and it did not ! So I’m not disappointed by the formula.
My whole routine revolves around these products, as well as two little extras for my lips and to rehydrate my face at night. I’m still getting around having a full-proof routine, covering all of my skin needs and more, but I’ll share what I’m doing so far in a separate blog post, if you’re interested.
Next month, I might continue with the set and buy the complete routine with the night cream and the lip balm, inter alia, or I might alternate with another routine. I’ll take advantage of sales season and try to find products that will help me to tackle some of my skin concerns, mostly dryness and lack of shine.

Pour l’instant, ça fait deux semaines que j’utilise le set, et j’aime beaucoup le fait que ça hydrate la peau et la nettoie sans l’assécher. Ma peau est plutôt normale à sèche, voire très sèche cet hiver. Mais les produits marchent bien sur mon visage, et ils sont très nourrissants pour la peau. J’ai fais un petit test les premiers jours en laissant ma peau sécher après l’avoir nettoyé avec le Total Cleans’r, et quelques minutes plus tard aucune sensation de peau sèche ou tiraillée ! Donc pas du tout déçue de la composition.
Ma routine tournera surtout autour de ces produits pendant les prochaines semaines? J’utilise aussi quelques produits supplémentaires surtout pour hydrater mes lèvres et réhydrater ma peau dans la soirée. Il faut encore que je travaille à parfaire ma routine, mais je vous ferais un article sur ma routine si ça vous intéresse.
Le mois prochain soit je continuerai avec le set en complétant avec les autres produits de la marque (notamment le masque nuit), soit j’alternerai avec une autre routine. La saison des soldes ayant commencé, j’en profiterai pour faire le plein de produits pour apporter plus d’hydratation et d’éclat à mon visage.
