The weekly column | #5

Happy Galentine’s / Valentine’s / Palentine’s / Sun day! Whether you celebrate it or not, I hope you had a lovely end of the week. I’ve been a bit absent from blogging this week, but I’m finaly on holidays and will be back in full force in the next few days.
This week, I’d like to share one very important lesson. Let me know what you think!

Celebrate your friends, celebrate yourself

This special day is a reminder that being surrounded by people, things and an environment that brings out the best in you is really important. Whether it’s being with people that inspire and motivate you, reading books that take your mind on fun adventures, looking at pictures and content that existes your creativity, sipping your favorite fruit tea, or doing your skincare routine, you always deserve to be happy, to feel good, and to be sure to have an environment that will do just that.

Today I celebrated galentine’s / valentine’s day with my friends (socially distanced and with masks of course), and I went back home with the head full of laughter, motivated to tackle my next projects, and just great overall! Also, I had a big handmaid box of goodies offered by one of my friends. We did a « secret Valentine » kind of thing, where each of us got something for one of us. So I got a gift for E, E got a gift for S, and S got a gift for me! It was so much fun, and I always love seeing people’s faces when they get a gift that they will very much enjoy. The power of gifting is real!

I went home to my two little nieces (after basically showering in hand-sanitizer), and had a blast just looking at them smiling, talking (in baby language) and being their adorable selves. Life is just about enjoying the little moments, taking your mind off of stressful things when you can – I know how challenging it can be sometimes and being in the moment without worrying (too much).

So, I hope that today you took time to celebrate YOU, whether through big gestures or little alone times. And if you didnn’t today, that’s okayh! There’s always the end of today, tomorrow, and the week after that. You always should take time for yourself, whether you’re on holidays like me – finally, or not. As for myself, I shall now read a book, do a little scrapbooking and why not watch a movie. The question is… Comedy, romance or thriller ? What do you suggest ?
