3 actresses that gave us all the fashion, glitz and glam on the red carpet ✨

Yesterday ended the 79th Venice Film Festival, the event where we celebrate culture, art but also fashion, thanks to the celebrities gracing the red carpet in their best attire during those 11 days. This year was particularly fun fashion-wise, and I thoughts I would do a blog post on it. But first let’s start with a little bit of history on the Festival.

What is Venice Film Festival? Created in 1932, the Venice International Film Festival (in italian Mostra internazionale d’arte cinematografica di Venezia) is part of Venice Biennale (La Biennale di Venezia), a larger event celebrating and exhibiting art in general (architecture, theater and dance amongst others). The annual event is directed by cinema critic Alberto Barbera at Lido, in the Venice Lagoon and gives various awards, its most famous being the Golden Lion.

Petite histoire du Festival : créé en 1932, le Festival international du film de Venise (Mostra internazionale d’arte cinematografica di Venezia) s’intègre à la Biennale de Venise (La Biennale di Venezia) qui célèbre entre autres l’art, la danse, l’architecture, le théâtre et bien sûr le cinéma international. Dirigé par le critique de cinéma Alberto Barbera, le Festival se tient chaque année au Palais du cinéma, au lido de Venise et décerne le fameux Lion d’or.

Aujourd’hui le Festival est aussi un évènement du calendrier de la mode puisque chaque année les artistes invités nous offrent des tenues glamour et tendance sur le tapis rouge. Selon moi, 3 célébrités nous ont servis de la mode de haut niveau cette année, je vous propose de revoir leurs meilleurs looks ensemble.

Nowadays, the Festival is also an important event in the fashion’s calendar, since attendees wear their most glamourous and fashionable outfit to go to the festival’s screenings and after parties.

TESSA THOMPSON

Tessa Thompson attended Venise Film Festival with Armani and graced us with no less than 10 different outfits. Here are some of my favourites, styled by Wayman + Micah. What are your thoughts on them?

JODIE TURNER-SMITH

Although all of her outfits were not necessarily my own cup of tea, I can’t deny that Jodie Turner-Smith looked absolutely fantastic in all her outfits! They complimented not only her figure but also her complexion and personal style. And you could see that she had a lot of fun rocking those gowns which is what fashion is all about! Bravo to Wayman and Micah again!

CATE BLANCHETT

Cate Blanchett offered us chic and sophistication on the red carpet, with tailored pieces, and outfits that are anything but boring! For the Festival’s premiere of TÁR, she wore a black velvet jumpsuit from Schiaparelli with handpainted flowers, which I love and love! Also can’t forget her Roksanda ensemble and its beautiful powder blue!
